Romantic Autumn Wedding at St Giles House
Olivia & Matthew planned a wedding day that was full of charm, style and elegance. They chose the spectacular Dorset wedding venue, St Giles House to host their September wedding. Both being born in the US but living in London, they wanted their guests to experience the charm of the English countryside.
In the morning Olivia and her girls danced around the Japan bridal suite to the radio, each wearing a vintage white night gown. After a church service up the lane, guests were lead back to the house by a Jazz band where they were greeted with drinks, canapés and an oyster shucker.
Dinner took place on banquet tables in the library adorned with flowers by Vervain. Speeches were made, including a schnapps toast by the brides mum in honour of her German roots. We then made our way over to the lake to capture some romantic portraits of the couple on film, making the most of the warm early autumn light. With Olivias delicate Laure de Sagazan gown I felt like I was watching the emotional final scenes of a Jane Austin novel play out. The evening ended with guests dancing the night away in the secret speak easy bar located in the St Giles wine cellar.
