CHRIS & AMY
PYNES HOUSE, DEVON
A vibrant post lockdown wedding in the countryside
Chris and Amy crafted the most beautiful winter wedding, full of organic design and personal touches. After relocating their wedding from South Africa because of the pandemic they chose the idyllic Devon countryside wedding venue Pynes House to host their guests. Amy wore a bespoke lace gown with long sleeves where she placed her grandmothers handkerchief and Chris looked sharp in black tie attire. Florist Emma Hewlett produced beautiful wintery blooms to adorn the house.
The day was icy cold but the sunset was glorious and shone right down the tree lined avenue, the perfect backdrop for golden hour portraits. The bridal party danced around trying to keep warm, so we worked swiftly in capturing all the fun before the setting sun. After a cosy dinner and speeches in the ballroom, the party started! Amy wore a sparkly number and we made use of the venues incredible double front doors and entry staircase for photos. One of my favourite moments was watching, what started as a small group shot, turn into a huge one as friends and family piled into a staircase to join in all the fun!
